Connect Omnivore to JB Hi‑Fi
Ensure your JB Hi‑Fi Seller Account is setup and active.
Omnivore must be authorised to connect to JB Hi‑Fi before product and order syncing can begin.
Follow the connection steps provided in the support guide.
Sellers With Existing Listings
If you already have products listed on JB Hi‑Fi, review the guidelines for existing listings.
Additional steps may be required before Omnivore can manage these products.
Product Identifiers
All products listed on JB Hi‑Fi require identifiers such as UPCs, MPNs or ISBNs.
Omnivore imports these from your ecommerce platform.
If you use Magento or WooCommerce, ensure your identifier fields are mapped correctly during setup.
Brand requirements will be provided by JB Hi‑Fi.
Choosing Which Products to List
Assign each product a JB Hi‑Fi category in Omnivore.
See the Category Mapping guide for step‑by‑step instructions.
If you have products you don’t want to list, you can block them individually or exclude them by brand or keyword.
You may also choose simply not to assign them a JB Hi‑Fi category.
Fashion listings may have brand restrictions. Refer to the list of excluded brands within your Bunnings Seller Account area.
All products and offers must be approved by JB Hi‑Fi Account Managers before they go live.
Pricing
You can create promotions in Omnivore to adjust pricing for all products or selected groups.
International sellers can set custom exchange rates under Settings → Currencies if they prefer not to use the default daily rate.
Shipping
Set up your shipping zones and charges directly in your JB Hi‑Fi Seller Account under:
My Account → Settings → Shipping and Delivery.
Once shipping is configured in JB Hi‑Fi, link your Omnivore products to the appropriate shipping classes.
Refer to the support article for detailed instructions.
You can also use Product Groups in Omnivore to assign different products to different shipping classes.
Stock Buffer
If you carry low stock and want to reduce the chance of overselling, set a stock buffer in Omnivore:
Go to Settings → Administration → Product Import.
Image Requirements
JB Hi‑Fi requires images to be at least 600 × 600 pixels.
Images smaller than this will not display on the marketplace and will cause the product to not be approved by Bunnings.
Size Charts
If your products require a size chart, you can add one to individual products or to a Product Group.
To set this up:
- Create a Product Group in Products → Product Groups.
- Go to Products → Product Actions → Create Size Chart.
- Enter the required details and provide a hosted URL for the size chart image.
Product Condition
Product condition maps as follows:
new → new
If your condition differs from ‘new’, contact our Support Team for assistance.
Testing Before Launch
Test your ecommerce connection
Go to Settings → Feeds → General and select Test Connection.
A successful test will return the message “API connection successful”.
Test your order flow
Go to a product page in Omnivore and scroll to the marketplace product details.
Select Send Test to create a test order in your ecommerce system.
Fulfil the order normally, then refund it through your ecommerce system.
Once refunded, mark the order as Refunded Online in Omnivore.
Customer Email Addresses
JB Hi‑Fi does not supply customer email addresses with orders. If your ecommerce platform requires one, go to:
Settings → JB Hi‑Fi → General → Default Order Email
Enter one of the following formats:
${order_id}@<yourdomainname.com>
or
${order_id}@jbhifi.com.au
If you cannot see this setting, contact Support and we can configure it for you.
Final Checks Before Clicking “Start Selling”
Before going live in Omnivore, confirm the following:
- JB Hi‑Fi account connection is complete
- Product categories are mapped
- Shipping configuration is set up and linked correctly
- Unwanted products are excluded
- No listing errors appear on the Omnivore Dashboard
- A date is entered in “Do not import orders before this date”
- Setup Key Selling Points as Mandatory.
