Pre-Selling Settings to Check

If you are new to Baby Bunting, it is strongly recommended that you read this entire article before beginning your setup. This will help you understand their requirements and avoid delays during onboarding.

Products and Listings

The Baby Bunting Marketplace Onboarding Team will review each product for required identifiers such as UPCs, barcodes, and EANs. Unless you are listing products under your own private brand, they will generally request UPCs. We recommend reviewing the Baby Bunting Marketplace documentation, along with their article on Product Attributes.

If you already have existing Baby Bunting listings, consult your Baby Bunting Account Manager for guidance. Omnivore will send new listings to Baby Bunting, so handling existing listings is important to avoid duplication. The reading on existing listings may be helpful.

Baby Bunting manually approves all listings submitted to their marketplace. Speak with your onboarding specialist about this process, as Baby Bunting enforces strict product compliance requirements. These rules apply both when you first list your products and whenever you add new items in the future.

Choose which products to list

Each product must be assigned a Baby Bunting category before it can be listed. See Category Mapping for detailed instructions.

If there are products you do not wish to list, you can block them individually or exclude them by brand or keyword. Leaving them without a category will also prevent them from listing.

Please be aware that certain items are restricted or banned from being sold on the Baby Bunting marketplace. Check with your Marketplace Contact if you are unsure about any product categories or restrictions.

You can use Omnivore promotions to increase or decrease prices across individual products or product groups.

International sellers can choose to set their own exchange rates under Settings → Currencies rather than relying on the daily fluctuating default rate.

Shipping & Shipment Tracking

Baby Bunting supports several shipping options, including:

  • Free shipping
  • Multiple shipping options per product
  • Weight‑based shipping determined via Omnivore Product Groups
  • Free shipping above a defined threshold

We recommend reviewing the following articles to understand your available options:
• Shipping overview
• Free shipping
• Weight‑based shipping

At minimum, one shipping method must be configured before your products can go live.

Shipment tracking is mandatory for Baby Bunting. Tracking details must be entered into the order within your ecommerce platform. Omnivore will then update Baby Bunting. Payment to sellers is dependent on orders being marked as shipped with valid tracking. Late shipping may affect your performance rating, so check Baby Bunting’s requirements carefully.

To add a size chart:

  1. Create a Product Group in Products → Product Groups
  2. Go to Products → Product Actions → Create size chart image
  3. Complete the required details and provide a publicly accessible JPG image URL

More detailed size chart information can be found in the Baby Bunting resources.

Important regarding orders

Baby Bunting does not provide customer email addresses.  If your ecommerce platform requires an email field, in Omnivore go to:

Settings → Baby Bunting → General → Default Order Email

Enter:
${order_id}@<yourdomainname.com>

If you cannot see this setting submit a ticket to our Support Team, they can set this up for you.

Testing

We strongly recommend testing your setup before launching your store.

Test your ecommerce connection:
Go to Settings → Feeds → General and select Test Connection.
A success message will read: “connection successful”.

Test your order flow:
Open a product in Omnivore and scroll to the marketplace product details.
Click Send Test to trigger a test order in your ecommerce system.
Fulfil the order normally (no payment is attached), then refund it in your ecommerce system.
Afterwards, mark the order as Refunded Online in Omnivore.
