Overview
This FAQ shows you how to set up weight based shipping in Baby Bunting marketplace and how shipping charges can be adjusted for different product weights.

About weight based shipping
Using the weights of the products from your ecommerce platform you can offer different shipping charges for products based on their weight. Key Points
- Step 1: Make sure your products have weights in your ecommerce platform.
- Step 2: Create a product group in Omnivore. A product group is a group of products based on a criteria, in this case the criteria is weight.
- Step 3: Create a shipping policy (also known as a shipping class on Baby Bunting) in Omnivore
- Step 4: Add how much you want to charge for the shipping policy in Baby Bunting/Mirakl settings.
- Step 5: Update your product listings on the marketplace by doing an upload in Omnivore.
Setting up weight based shipping step by step
Product Weights
- Each product must have a weight in your ecommerce platform and it is usually added in kilograms. To check that Omnivore has imported your weights, go to Products - Baby Bunting - Manage Listings. In the table of products there is a column called 'Weight'
- Magento users: In Omnivore, go to 'Settings - Feeds - General'. Scroll down and click the 'Map Fields' button. Ensure that the Magento weight field is showing in the Omnivore weight field.
Create Product Groups in Omnivore
- Go to Products - Product Groups. Click 'Add a product group'
- Add a name and use the criteria Min and Max weight. In this example, you may want all products that weigh between 0 and 5kg into a product group.
- Use this FAQ to learn how to create product groups.
- To check if a product has been assigned to a product group, go to 'Products - Baby Bunting - Manage Listings'. Find the product and click through to the page that provides the full product details. Scroll down to the box 'Baby Bunting Product View' and you will see a list of Product Groups that the product is assigned to.
Create the shipping policy
- Go to Settings - Baby Bunting - Shipping then click 'Add new shipping policy'
- Use this FAQ as a guide to add a new policy in Omnivore.
- In the 'Shipping Policy Name' drop down, select the shipping class in Baby Bunting that you want these products to use for example for products that weight less than 5kg, you could use Medium class in Baby Bunting.
- Select the product group you want to use then click 'Update'. This will now create a Shipping Policy for Baby Bunting in Omnivore that is attached to Logistics Class Shipping Medium for products in your chosen Group.
Set up Shipping Charges in Baby Bunting
- Login to your Baby Bunting Seller Marketplace Account.
- Go to Settings - Shop and follow this guide for applying shipping charges.
- Note you need to set the price for every zone, so follow the steps in the above article thoroughly.

This completes the process of Adding a Product Group, attaching it to a Shipping Policy in Omnivore that is connected to your chosen Shipping Method that is Configured in Baby Bunting.
Update your product listings on Baby Bunting
Once you have completed the set up, go to the Baby Bunting Dashboard in Omnivore and click 'Upload to Baby Bunting' to update the shipping of your products on Baby Bunting.
