Connect Omnivore to TEMU

The guide to Connect Omnivore to TEMU using you generated API can be found in this FAQ.   It is best to have this step completed before you proceed.

Required data fields

All TEMU listings must have a product Weight, Length, Width and Height.  If your products do not have this data you can set a default value in Omnivore.

Brand / Attributes / Variants

  • TEMU listings do not need a UPC (Barcode).
  • Brands: TEMU does require a brand name for each listing, and they do have an explicit set of rules to obtain brand approval.  To learn more speak with your customer support contact at TEMU and also see Brand & trademarks under the Products Menu in the TEMU help section.
  • Variants:  TEMU accepts Size and Colour.  If you have another variant type Omnivore can map your variant type to a variant that TEMU will accept.  Speak to your Integration Specialist about this.
  • Bullet Points:  Within Omnivore you can includes bullet points as attributes with your listings, they are not mandatory on TEMU, they are a good way to highlight selling points.

Select which products to list

Pricing and Tax

  • If you want to change the price for your TEMU listings, you can create a promotion to increase or decrease the price of all products or a group of products.
  • If you're an international seller, you can also create custom exchange rates - go to 'Settings - Currencies' if you don't want to use the daily default rate which fluctuates.
  • TEMU pricing can be fully explained in this FAQ.
  • Omnivore push up the price exclusive of TAX and TEMU add sales tax to sale price.

Shipping

  • TEMU offer $2.99 and FREE Shipping only.   Orders under $39 will have $2.99 shipping cost applied, order overs $39.00 will get FREE Shipping.  This TEMU shipping rule cannot be modified.
  • Once you have set up the shipping templates in TEMU, you can then link Omnivore to your shipping polices.  This article outlines more steps and guides.
  • You can also create Product Groups in Omnivore and attach them to your shipping policies.   This will allow you the function to group products, apply a price change to those products and assign them to TEMU shipping.  More information on how to complete that setup can be found here.

Stock Buffer

  • You can set up a stock buffer under 'Settings - Administration - Product Import' if you carry low levels of stock and want to reduce the chance of overselling.

Image Size

  • Images for the TEMU marketplace must be at least 600x600 pixels. If they are less than this, they will not be displayed.

Size Chart

  • If you are selling products that require a size chart, you can add an image of the Size Chart to all listings or a group of products.
  • Create the Product Group (go to 'Products - Product Groups' in Omnivore) then go to ‘Products – Product Actions’ and click ‘Create size chart’.
  • Complete the required information. You will need the image hosted on a URL to enter here.

Product Condition

The information below shows how Product Condition works between Omnivore and TEMU Marketplace.

Specific Conditions Are:

  • Omnivore Condition = new -> Marketplace = new

Customer email address on orders

  • TEMU does not give out the customers email address. If the customer email address is a required field in your ecommerce system, please go to 'Settings - TEMU - General' and enter ${order_id}@<yourdomainname> in the field 'Default Order Email'.  For example, if your domain is www.bestshoesintown.com you would enter ${order_id}@<bestshoesintown.com>.  If you did not want to add your own domain you can enter this: ${order_id}@temu.com.  If you are unable to see this setting please contact our Support Team and we can set this one up for you.

Testing

  • Omnivore strongly recommends testing the set up before launching your live store.
  • Firstly test your ecommerce connection:  Navigate to SETTINGS / FEEDS / GENERAL in the left hand menu.  Select the TEST CONNECTION button (about half way down the page).  If successful this will show "API connection successful"
  • Secondly test your order flow:  Navigate to a product page and scroll down to the marketplace product details.  You should see a a yellow SEND TEST button.  Select this and it will send a test order to your ecommerce system. Fulfil the order as normal  (there is no money attached to the order).  If successful, then process a refund from your eCommerce system as per normal. This means you can then mark the order as REFUNDED ONLINE in Omnivore.
