Overview

The eBay Marketplace requires Item Specific Attributes for certain categories, and in many cases, some attributes are mandatory.

Omnivore allows you to add item specifics to multiple products at once by applying them at the category level. This ensures your eBay listings remain consistent and fully optimised.

Steps to Bulk Add Item Specifics

  1. Log in to Omnivore and go to Products → eBay Australia.
  2. Click on the Item Specifics Tab.
  3. On this page, you will see two buttons: Products and Categories. Click Categories.

  4. On the Bulk Map page, you will now see all eBay item specifics applicable to the selected category. Fields highlighted in red are mandatory.

  5. Under the Default Value column, select from eBay’s preset values by clicking the dropdown arrow.
    • It is strongly recommended to use eBay’s preset values.

    • Free-text entries are allowed, but products may not appear in eBay search results, as buyers can only filter by eBay-provided values.

  6. After selecting a value, click the green + icon to save your change.
    • You must click the + icon for every field individually; otherwise, your selection will not be saved.

  7. Click the Back button.
  8. Continue bulk mapping based on category as required.
  9. To push immediate changes to eBay Australia, click Upload from the eBay tab on the Dashboard. If you do not upload immediately, the new data will sync during the next marketplace feed.
