TABLE OF CONTENTS
Please follow these instructions carefully, also please note when you click Import Mappings there is a pop up message with instructions to consider.
Export Mappings
- Go to Products - On Marketplace (e.g. Amazon) > Needs a category to list in.
- From this Tab, click the Export Mappings button to export a CSV file from Omnivore.
- Click Save and then open the file.

- This CSV will have all of your current Category Mapping rules in raw data form. The file will look something like this:

Prepare Your Newly Exported CSV
- Using the exported CSV you saved and opened, you will now need your list of SKUs that need to be bulk mapped. Note that the SKU value used MUST be the Omnivore SKU. The SKU can be found underneath the Brand when searching on your products.
- Assuming you want to use the marketplace categories in the exported file, take note of the existing categories under marketcat1 column. These exact values will have to be used based on the categories you are going to apply to your SKUs.
- Remove the existing SKUs from the exported CSV, add your new SKUs and next to each SKU match the marketplace category from the CSV.
- Click Save, not Save As.
- The file format you are going to import will look like the one above except your SKUs and actual category data will be different.
NOTE - Files that have greater than 5000 mappings will be rejected. If that happens, edit your file, break it into smaller separate files and start again.
Import your adjusted CSV
- Save your newly prepared CSV file that will have the format as per the image to your local computer.
- Go to Products > On Marketplace > Category Mapping Tab, click Import Mappings, read the pop up message carefully, choose the file that you saved and click Import.
- The import job will start. When successful you will see this message:

- To check a product has been mapped correctly, search for one of the SKUs in Omnivore and on the product check the Category Mapping status.
- If you do not see the above message after the import take a screen grab of the pop message that does appear and take note of any errors.
- Check the file and attempt another import of the categories.
