Overview
WooCommerce allows for custom variant attributes (e.g. size, colour, style).
To ensure Omnivore can correctly import and build products with variants—and so they’re accepted by the marketplace—you must map these fields in Omnivore.
If not mapped correctly, you may encounter validation errors such as:
variants do not have unique attributes
As a general rule for Woocommerce please check your field mapping in Omnivore, the steps below cover how to do this.
How To Fix
- Review the products in Omnivore - In most cases they will show up with an error on your dashboard. Check if they are a variant type product.
- Check the variant names in WooCommerce. Identify which attributes are used (e.g. size, colour, design).
- In Omnivore go to Settings > WooCommerce Feed > Map Fields. On this page, match each WooCommerce field (on the right) to the corresponding Omnivore data field (on the left).
- Use the drop-down menus to complete the mapping. Refer to the screenshot below for guidance.
- Once all fields are mapped click Update Settings at the bottom of the page. Then go to the Dashboard and select Import from WooCommerce.
Points To Consider
- Size can be directly mapped to Size
- Colour can be directly mapped to Colour
- This change won't take affect until you do an Import from Woocommerce.
- Both colour and size fields can have more than one field mapped.
