eBay Validation Error: SKU Must Be Unique
You may encounter this error when using Omnivore/eBay LINK:
“When specifying SKU for InventoryTrackingMethod, the SKU must be unique within your active and scheduled listings.”
This occurs when a SKU you are trying to use is already assigned to another active or scheduled listing on eBay. Each SKU must be unique to prevent conflicts in inventory tracking.
Next Steps to Try
To check if any Active or Scheduled listings already exist on eBay for the SKU:
- Log in to your eBay seller account.
- Navigate to Seller Hub and select the "Listings" tab.
- Select "Custom label (SKU)" from the field drop-down, enter the SKU you want to search for and click the "Search" button.

- Repeat this search for both "Active" and "Scheduled" listings in your eBay account.
If you find an existing listing with the SKU, you will need to end the listing on eBay before it can be relisted from our system.
If you can't find an existing listing on eBay that is using this SKU, you can try the following:
- In our system, select "Products" from the left-hand menu.
- Navigate to the product details page for the product by searching for the SKU.
- Scroll down to the "eBay Australia Product View" section.
- Try clicking the "Upload to eBay Australia" button to see if that resolves the issue.
- If that doesn't work, you can try clicking the "Zero Out Quantities" button. Wait for 1 minute after clicking that button and then click the "Upload to eBay" button to see if the item relists.
- If that doesn't work you will need to end the listings by clicking the "End Listing" button. Wait for 1 minute after clicking that button and click the "Upload to eBay Australia" button to relist the item.
