Overview & Steps
This FAQ explains what retailers with existing listings on the Bunnings Marketplace need to do when setting up with Omnivore.
If you're already selling on Bunnings, you have two options:
Remove your existing listings before connecting Omnivore, or
Link your Omnivore products to your existing Bunnings listings (if product data matches).
It’s critical that you choose either Option 1 or Option 2 before clicking “Start Selling” in Omnivore. Failing to do so can cause data conflicts that may require a full purge of your Bunnings listings to fix.
First Step For Setup
Before starting, notify Bunnings that you’ll be integrating through Omnivore. They can confirm any specific requirements from their side.
Options For Sellers With Existing Listings
Option 1: Remove Existing Listings from Bunnings
- Install and set up Omnivore
- Install the Omnivore app for your eCommerce store.
- Create your Omnivore account and select Bunnings as your marketplace.
- During setup, do not authorise the Bunnings connection yet.
- Complete setup — use the [checklist] for guidance.
Request a purge of your old listings
- Contact Bunnings and ask them to remove all existing listings.
- This usually takes 36–48 hours.
- Wait for Bunnings to confirm that your listings have been removed.
Set the “Do Not Import Orders Before” date
- Go to Settings > Bunnings > General in Omnivore.
- Enter a date in Do Not Import Orders Before — this should match the date you’ll click Start Selling.
- Click Update Settings to save.
- This step prevents Omnivore from importing any previous orders you’ve already dispatched.
Connect and start selling
- Go to Settings > Bunnings > General and click Connect Now.
- Log in to your Bunnings Seller Account to authorise the connection.
- In Omnivore, open the Bunnings tab and click Start Selling.
- Review the warning about linking or ending existing listings. Tick the box, confirm, and click I Am Ready To Start Selling to upload your products.
Expected downtime: There will be a 36 – 48-hour period where your store has no active listings while old ones are removed and new ones are uploaded.
2. Option 2: Keep Existing Listings on Bunnings
If you want to keep your current Bunnings listings, follow these steps to see if that’s possible.
Check if your product data matches
Log in to your Bunnings Seller Account and open the Existing Offers page.
Find the Offer SKU for one of your products.
In Omnivore, open the same product’s detail page.
The Offer SKU from Bunnings must match one of the following fields in Omnivore (shown below):
SKU
MPN
Retailer Ref
Contact Omnivore Support
If a match exists, contact the Omnivore Support Team with the matching value.
They can help you link your existing Bunnings listings to Omnivore.
If no match is found
Omnivore won’t be able to take over your existing listings.
You’ll need to follow Option 1 and ask Bunnings to purge your listings.
Remove Any Existing Mapping Configurations:
Before you click Start Selling in Omnivore (regardless of the option you choose), you must remove all current mapping rules from your Bunnings Seller Account.
Log in to your Bunnings Seller Account.
Go to Settings > Catalogue Mapping.
Delete all existing mapping rules.
If you need help, contact Bunnings Seller Support.
⚠️ Failure to remove existing mapping rules will trigger the error:
“Validation error = 1004 | The category could not be identified.”
Key Points To Note
Keeping existing listings can be beneficial — removing them may affect search rankings and delete product reviews and ratings.
If you’re unsure whether to keep or remove listings, consult your Bunnings Onboarding Manager or the Bunnings Marketplace Team before proceeding.
