Product Approvals

Before you begin to sell on JB Hi-Fi they will approve which brands and products you can sell, this process is generally done with you when you are first setting up your seller account with the JB Hi-Fi Team.

Then we we push through those products in the feed to the marketplace they will check and approve them before they actually list.   They will check for product compliance and regulations, brand, variants, UPC, images, proi and other product data.

This means we will upload your products from Omnivore but new products that are not approved may not show as a live listing instantly.  They will be pending approval.

Omnivore does not handle product approvals process so the best team to contact is the Marketplace Support Team or your account manager.  Essentially after you hit Start Selling or when you add New Products they will being in Pending, Rejected or Approved state depending on how the marketplace assess the data.

While your products are in the approval process they will show in the Catalogue Manager section in the Seller Centre with different status names:

Unapproved and unlisted products in Omnivore will have validation errors based on what JB Hi-Fi sends back to us about that product, the best place to check and for exact errors or rejection reasons is in JB Hi-Fi itself.  In Omnivore it may just something generic like 'Product does not exist'.

If changes to products are required check the Mirakl FAQ's first, take a copy of the expected change or edits that are required and contact our support team so we can assist.  It is possible to use some of the Omnivore features to tweaks products so they will list.  If we know the rejection reason we can match a feature and see how we can help you tweak the product.

To sell and list on JB Hi-Fi it is suggested that you understand their unique compliance and listing rules that can be found in their seller handbook.
