Overview

Strike-through pricing is a promotional strategy that displays a product's original price alongside a discounted sale price, highlighting the savings to potential customers. To leverage this feature on Amazon through Omnivore, follow the steps outlined below.

Setup and How it Works

  • Ensure Price and RRP Availability

    • Confirm that both the sale price and Recommended Retail Price (RRP) are present for your products in your eCommerce store. Omnivore will import these values.

  • Enable 'Send List Price' in Omnivore Settings
    • Navigate to Settings > Amazon > General in your Omnivore dashboard.

    • Locate and tick the checkbox labelled Send list price. This action will transmit the RRP to Amazon as the 'list price'.

  • Using the example below, the two highlighted prices will be sent to Amazon.

  • Address Attribute Warnings or Errors

    • Before Amazon will accept any price changes, ensure that all attribute warnings or errors in Omnivore are resolved and cleared.

  • Upload to Amazon

    • After making the necessary changes in Omnivore and clearing any validation warnings, perform an upload to Amazon.

Important Considerations

  • Sales Requirement: Amazon will only display strike-through pricing if there has been a sale made at the listed price. Without a historical sale at that price, the strike-through will not appear.

  • Amazon's Validation: If your listings do not show strike-through pricing after following the above steps, contact Amazon Support via Seller Central for further assistance. You can also find further information in Amazon's Seller Centre in the following pages:
