Background

  • Shopify have recently announced that from the 1st of February 2025 they will be removing some of the APIs that Omnivore uses to connect your Omnivore Account and your Shopify Store.  Learn more about the Shopify Announcement.
  • To ensure your Omnivore account is not impacted and we can continue to connect to your Shopify store we have started using some alternative APIs that Shopify provides. To use this new way of connecting Shopify and Omnivore, you need to uninstall then reinstall the Omnivore app in your Shopify admin site.


Impacted Omnivore Users

  • Not all of our Omnivore users need to uninstall/reinstall the app. 
  • If you need to, you will receive a Dashboard notification like the one below and you will also receive an email.


What you need to do by the 15th of January 2025

  1. Follow the instructions below to Uninstall then Reinstall the Omnivore App - make sure you re-install straight after the uninstall as while the app isn't installed, Omnivore can't connect.
  2. Do this by the 15th of January 2025.


How to Uninstall/Reinstall the Omnivore App

  1. In Shopify click Settings on the bottom left navigation, then click Apps and Sales Channels.
  2. This will display all of your Apps and Omnivore will be in that list.
  3. Click on the 3 dots to the right of Omnivore and click Uninstall.
  4. You will be presented with a pop up, make a selection to continue.
  5. Next leave some feedback as per our example and click Uninstall.
  6. To Reinstall, click this link here to go directly to the Omnivore app in Shopify App Store.
  7. Click to Install and follow the setup steps.
  8. This wizard will now find your existing account/integration in Omnivore.
  9. Click launch to go to your existing Omnivore account.  You are now ready to use our new API's.  Thank you for taking the time to complete this.
