Refunding Orders for THE ICONIC

This article explains how to cancel and refund orders from THE ICONIC marketplace when you’re selling through Omnivore. The exact process depends on which eCommerce platform you use. 


Overview and Considerations

  • For Shopify sellers, you can refund orders directly within Shopify. When you do, the refund will automatically flow to Omnivore and then to THE ICONIC using Omnivore’s order update workflows.

    • The steps in this article are not applicable for Shopify sellers.

    • Instead, follow Shopify’s order cancellation/refund process — Omnivore’s webhooks will handle cancelling the order in both Omnivore and THE ICONIC.

  • For all other eCommerce platforms (BigCommerce, Magento 2, WooCommerce, Maropost), refunds must be handled manually.

    • You must refund the order in THE ICONIC Seller Centre and in your eCommerce store.

    • After that, you must mark the order as refunded in Omnivore. 


How to Cancel & Refund an Order (Non-Shopify Sellers)

  1. Log in to your THE ICONIC Seller Centre and cancel/refund the order there.

    • Follow THE ICONIC’s guidelines on cancelling and processing refunds within Seller Centre.

  2. Cancel the order in your eCommerce store.

    • This step does not refund the buyer — it’s for your own inventory, reporting, and accounting purposes.

    • The exact steps to cancel an order vary between eCommerce platforms.

  3. Mark the order as refunded in Omnivore:

    • In Omnivore, go to Orders → All Orders.

    • Find the order you’ve refunded.

    • Open the order details and click Mark as refunded



Key Points About Manual Refunds

  • Marking an order as refunded in Omnivore does not refund the buyer in THE ICONIC or your eCommerce platform — it only updates the order’s status within Omnivore.

  • Once you mark an order as refunded in Omnivore, it will stop any further updates to that order from Omnivore, your eCommerce platform, or THE ICONIC.

  • Refunds must always be processed directly in THE ICONIC Seller Centre — Omnivore does not handle payment processing or refunds on behalf of THE ICONIC.
