What You Need To Know
Individual Variation products appear as separate listings due to the way Trade Me structures Multi-Variation listings.
To buyers, a Multi-Variation listing appears as a single listing. However, each variation within the listing has its own listing ID in your Trade Me account.
Example:
If a Multi-Variation listing has 6 variations, Trade Me will create 6 separate listings, one for each variation.
The listing displayed depends on the buyer’s selection. From the buyer’s perspective, it appears they are seamlessly interacting with a single Multi-Variation listing.
Changing Between Single Variant and Multi-Variant
Currently, it is not possible to convert a product from single variant to multi-variant, or vice versa, in Omnivore.
Important Notes
You cannot add variations or options to a product that is already listed.
You cannot rename variations or options on a listed product.
In these cases, the existing listing must be terminated:
Delete the product from Omnivore’s database.
Purge the listing from Trade Me.
Re-list the product as a new listing.
To delete a listing, you must submit a ticket. Include the following information in your request:
SKU
Exact Product Name
This ensures Trade Me can correctly remove the listing from their system.
