Holiday breaks or long absence from trading

If you are going on a long break or looking to set trading hours over holiday periods , we recommend you  update your “Listing Status,” “Handling Time,” and “Transit time” to avoid any potential impact on your account health. 

Change these settings in advance.

Shipping Settings

We recommend that listings with Premium Shipping options be changed to only Economy or Standard shipping to better manage customer expectations during this peak period.


The shipping business day can be confirmed and changed on the "General Settings" tab by selecting "Delivery Settings" from "Settings" in Seller Central.


NB: It is important to note that during the holidays, some delivery companies might not accept requests for collection or delivery. Do check in advance whether your contracted delivery company will receive and deliver the goods on a different schedule than usual.


How To Set Vacation Mode:

To set your listings to Inactive or Active, complete the following steps.

  1. From your seller account, select Settings, then select Account Info.
  2. On the Seller Account Information page, in the Listings Status section, click Going on a vacation?
  3. Select one of the following options:
    OptionDescription
    Set all listings toActive: All of your listings will reappear on Amazon product detail pages and search results within one hour.Inactive: Removes all of your listings from Amazon product detail pages and search results within one hour.
    Individual Marketplace ListingsActive: Listings in the marketplace(s) you specified will reappear on product detail pages and in search results within one hour.Inactive: Removes all listings from the marketplace(s) you specified and search results within one hour.
  4. When you are finished, click Save.

Any applicable monthly subscription fees will continue to be charged, even if the fees become due while your listings are inactive.
