Review Variations that do not have Colour at a variant level

The Iconic requires colour at a variant level.

If a retailer does not have colour at a variant level and they are using Shopify they can set up a Variation level Metafield. This will typically happen if the retailer is only selling one colour of an item in various sizes.

The steps are as follows:

  1. The retailer needs to set up a metafield in Shopify and name it something relevant like IconicColour.
  2. This metafield needs to be set at the master product level so that it will apply to all variations, NOT at the variant metafield level (the retailer should be using the standard Shopify colour field to colour variants).
  3. Ask the retailer what they have named this metafield
  4. Once the retailer has completed this, hit an Import from Shopify
  5. Go to Settings->Shopify->Map Fields
  6. Map the metafield to the colour field in Omnivore 
  7. Run another "Import from Shopify" and check for any product errors relating to Colour.
