Troubleshooting eBay managed payments setup issues

This article is a guide to assist new eBay Sellers who are setting up Managed Payments.  As we know the eBay LINK/Omnivore Payment Policy will still say PayPal which is Managed Payments.

There are some known setup issues within eBay and these points can be used to help the sellers.

Key Points and Assumptions:

• Sometimes eBay sellers think Managed Payments is setup correctly but it is not.
• The verification process may not be correct.
• The verification process may not be complete
• They may need to attempt other steps in order to reveals errors or issues.
• If this is the case where both systems appear to have managed payments setup, there are no errors on our part yet still it is incomplete eBay advise that the seller can start the Create A New Listing process within their eBay Store
• More relevant for totally new sellers.
• Once they start the 'create a new listing' wizard in eBay this detects any incomplete steps and will drop them into a managed payment step if needed.
• Try this if the seller is sure managed payments is not setup and they are new to eBay.
