The key objectives are to:
- make Scrum a more positive experience for all
- ensure the whole team is across relevant information and updates
- encourage collaboration and clarity of knowledge
Video
All team members will be encouraged to have their video on unless absolutely necessary not to – we all understand there are bad hair days or on occasion can't put it on.
Asking Questions
When you have a question, simply click on the smiley face on the Reaction button and then click on Raise Hand
The facilitator will then know you have a question and will come to you once the person has finished speaking.

- Be respectful
- Don't talk over people
- Accept/accommodate peoples ideas
Agenda
Roundtable sharing of any wins/relevant news (ALL)
- Easiest way is to use Raised Hand if you have any
- Please feel free to nominate either your own win or someone else’s.
Individual updates led by facilitator - 2 minute max (ALL)
- If you have something to mention:
- What you have done
- What you are working on today and raise any blockers
- It’s no issue if you don’t have any updates to share with the team on that day
New functionality launched since last Scrum (IVAN or other Dev)
Anything that doesn’t require the whole team will be discussed at the end of scrum.
Slack
- Slack is used for day to day comms
- Great to celebrate company wins and losses in General channels
- Limit individual focused criticism to small, relevant group (or 1:1, or call them)
- Be respectful – you may like direct comms however it can offend others
- Not just for action oriented comms - can also be used to connect to people individually in a social way
- Use emojis like thumbs up, thanks, looking so that people know you have seen it
- Deployments: What you're deploying, to where and why and DF link/Trello card and @name if relevant to anyone
