Lasoo Shipping Setup Considerations - Internal Doc

Just sharing this with you - it's probably more for Lasoo's benefit but I figured there might be instances where a seller asks about this, or maybe you just wanted to know how it works. 

Within Omnivore, sellers can create product groups, each with an assigned Shipping Rate - there is no limit on how many groups they can create. Typically it will be 2-3 groups (Small, Medium, Large for example). 

Within Lasoo we can set a Base Rate, a Free Shipping threshold, as well as limit delivery to certain postcodes.

In the instance that a seller has a Lasoo base rate, and an Omnivore product group, the two prices will stack (Lasoo base rate of $5.00, plus Omnivore Group price $5.00 will put a $10.00 shipping fee in the cart). Generally speaking, if a seller is using Omnivore product groups to define shipping, we should set a base rate of $0 on Lasoo. We would set a Free Shipping rate in Lasoo if one exists though.

The other key mentionable difference relates to multi-product purchases. If a non-Omnivore seller has a $5.00 shipping rate, and a customer purchases 2 units, the rate stays at $5.00. If a customer purchases a product from an Omnivore product group, the shipping price stacks with each unit sold. ie. one set of Tongs is $5.00 shipping, two sets of tongs is $10.00.
