Key Configurations and Settings - Magento v1

When setting up Magento and Omnivore, there are a number of Configuration and Settings that you should check before you start listing products on a marketplace:

Magento Site ID for Products

• By default, Omnivore will connect and import products from Magento Site ID = 1
• If you have multiple Magento sites and want to use a different site, you can change it under 'Settings - Feeds - General'

Magento Order Store ID for Orders

• By default, Omnivore will send all Marketplace orders to Magento Site Order ID = 1
• If you have multiple Magento sites and want to use a different site, you can change it under 'Settings - Feeds - General'

• If you want to send Orders from different marketplaces to different Magento Order Store Id's then go to 'Settings - Feeds - Marketplace Config'

Magento Data Fields

• So that Omnivore can create your products correctly, we need to know the fields from Magento to use. When you first created the Omnivore account you were asked to map the fields from Magento to Omnivore e.g for Description in Omnivore, use ' in Magento.
• To change the fields or to use new fields go to 'Settings - General', scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Map Fields'
• To check your products are using the correct fields, look and check the product under the 'Products' section in the left navigation menu

Currency

• The currency of your Magento store is defined in Omnivore under 'Settings - Administration'. 
• If you change this, you will need to re-import all products by clicking 'Import from Magento' on the Dashboard.
• If you have multiple Magento stores for different currencies, you can use the Magento store that is the same as the marketplace
