From time to time a retailer may want to artificially control inventory for a sale or promotion activity.
This can be actioned by following the below steps however, this is an Admin level task and not to be undertaken by retailers directly.
1. Navigate to the retailer dashboard
2. Select PRODUCTS from the left hand menu
3. Select ALL PRODUCTS from the expanded view
4. Enter either the title or SKU of the product and select SEARCH
5. Select the product and select the EDIT button in the top right hand corner
6. Scroll down to the VARIATION section on the product details page
7. Select the QTY number next o the variant or product you want to adjust
8. A small pop up text box will appear. Enter the set QTY amount .
9. Select the UPDATE button on the left hand side of the screen to save the change
10. Once updated scroll down to the MARKETPLACE PRODUCT section .
11. On the right hand side of the EBAY marketplace details select the UPLOAD PRODUCT or UPLOAD PRICE & QTY button ( this will apply the changes)
12. Continue to scroll further down the page to the bottom.
13. At the bottom of the page you will see several ADMIN ONLY buttons
14. Select the STOP UPDATING IN MARKETPLACE button (this will ensure that the product is not overridden by the usual product & inventory feeds)
15. The button will now change to read START UPDATING TO MARKETPLACE
To begin updating the product again simply select the START UPDATING TO MARKETPLACE button
It is ideal to have an open eBay window linked to the product you are updating so you can refresh the product and verify that the changes have been applied.
