DoorDash is a great sales channel for retailers who sell fast moving consumer goods and convenience products. Before getting started though there are some key criteria that sellers will need to meet.
Seller Criteria
- Sellers must have a store presence. Drivers cannot collect from warehouses, distribution centres or centres that are not open to normal customers.
- Sellers must have a click and collect workflow as the Q-Commerce sales channels utilise the same feeds, order statuses and SLA's.
- Sellers can have a national or state store presence.
- Sellers must have near real time inventory updates to ensure timely updates to the menu marketplace.
- Sellers will need to integrate to their POS systems so store staff can action updates.
Set Up Steps
- Once approval from the menu marketplace is provided seller will advise Omnivore who will add the marketplace to the account
- Omnivore will the provision the API endpoints and or SFTP folders for the marketplace channels
- Omnivore will import products, inventory , pricing etc from the sellers eCommerce Platform
- Seller will need to map all products to a single category called 'default' . Doordash will then category map to their taxonomy. (note QA takes up to 5 days for approval)
- Seller will need to provide store details, store hours, latitude / long as either a fixed or updated file
- Seller will need to provide store inventory at regular intervals, as this serves as ranging on the marketplace
- Omnivore , seller and marketplace will then undertake end to end order testing
