eBay Checklist
Review eBay Checklist
Process:
- Get retailer to install plugin/app and complete sign up process.
- Go through below checklist.
- List a few products on eBay.
- Do a test order - co-ordinate with eBay rep for an end to end order test otherwise if just doing test between Omnivore and the retailer, use test order button on product page.
- When retailer is ready, store goes live on eBay.
- Provide training eg - how to use Omnivore
- Make sure get payment from retailer i.e get Credit Card.
- After 1 month, check in with retailer and see if any issues/questions etc.
Check with the retailer:
- Products - do they want to list everything or a select group of products? Products that are to be listed, require mapping to eBay categories.
- Are there products they want to Block? If yes, use blocking tools.
- Do they carry deep inventory or shallow? i.e do they need a stock buffer? or do they need max quanity on eBay adjusted?
- Product Listing Template? Will they use Omnivore or a custom template? Have they completed all fields e.g about us, image URL etc. If custom field, needs implementing.
- Shipping - what do they want to charge for shipping? Weight based? Additional items? Free shipping thresholds etc.
- Product Titles - are they optimised with keywords etc. Use individual titles or rules based under Feeds.
- Pricing - is the retailer happy with their prices or do they want to adjust using a promotion in Omnivore.
Magento:
- Do they keep inventory in magento? If not, will cause problems..
- Have the fields been mapped correctly so we are using the right data fields? Get retailer to check products and pricing before going live with any products.
- Do they get the 'No unique attributes' listing error? Are fields mapped correctly?
