Important information regarding your Amazon Listings.

Amazon has mandated that Omnivore create and update product listings using new APIs from the 30th of June. As a result, you will see some changes to the data required to update or create a new listing.

Here is what you need to know

• Existing Listings: 
  • Any products already listed on Amazon will continue to be listed on Amazon.
  • If you are the ‘owner’ of the ASIN on Amazon (i.e you created the listing and can manage the content) you can make changes to the listing either in Amazon or via Omnivore.
  • You may notice that the errors and warnings on the products are different and may ask for additional attributes - you do not need to add the attributes if you don’t want to change any of the product data on the listing. However, if you want to change the product data on a listing you created such as image, description, title then you will need to satisfy the new product attributes required to be able to make changes to the listing.
  • NB: If you ‘own’ the ASIN, Amazon may or may not allow you to update the data. This is at their discretion.
• Creating new listings: you still need to follow the steps to list new products if an ASIN does not exist. i.e map amazon categories to your products then add the required product attributes.
