Overview

This FAQ discusses options for putting your Trade Me store in Holiday Mode.

Note, there is no way to directly put your Trade Me store in offline or holiday mode but there are some steps that will remove your listings while keeping your store active.

The Trade Me Team will need to action this from their end as Omnivore does not have the capability.

What To Do

To place your Trade Me store in holiday mode, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Omnivore and pause your Trade Me integration. Go to Settings - Trade Me - General Page. Under the Integration Status heading select Pause.
  2. Once the integration is paused contact Trade Me directly and let them know you'd like to put your store into holiday mode.
  3. Trade Me will confirm once your store has been placed in holiday mode. Note - Trade Me can take several working days to action requests so be sure to contact them well in advance.
  4. When you're ready to resume selling, contact Trade Me again to end the holiday mode and restart your listings.

Trade Me will remove your listings on the marketplace and then relist your products so they are once again visible in the marketplace when the holiday mode is over.  Trade Me will also need to Unpause your Integration and click the Start Selling button under set up again.

While your Trade Me integration is paused you will still be able to launch the app from your eCommerce store but it will say Paused.

Things to Note

The way products are removed and then relisted for holiday mode does not incur extra fees.   If you have paid for Trade Me extras the fees associated with those extras will not be refunded, and they will be charged again once your products relist.

Please contact the Trade Me Support team for more explanation on listing fees and holiday mode.

If you have a Trade Me Account Manager we recommend letting them know that you wish to put your store into holiday or offline mode.
