Why Titles, Descriptions & Images Aren't Updating on Amazon
Understand why Amazon content updates may not appear.
If you've updated a product's title, description, or images in your eCommerce store but the changes haven't appeared on Amazon, this is expected behaviour. Amazon controls which version of listing data is displayed when multiple sellers share the same ASIN, and it may override or ignore updates sent by Omnivore. This is unrelated to how Omnivore sends the data.
Amazon controls when and how product data (titles, descriptions, images, etc.) can be updated. When multiple sellers offer the same product (identified by its UPC or ASIN), Amazon decides which version of the data to display based on what it believes is most accurate.
Why It Happens
What are shared ASIN listings?
When multiple sellers list the same product using the same ASIN or UPC, Amazon combines all offers into a single shared listing. Only one version of the title, description, and images is displayed, and Amazon determines which version that is.
Brand Ownership
If you are not the brand owner or don't have access to Amazon Brand Registry, you won't be able to control or override existing listing content.
Can Amazon reject updates sent by Omnivore?
Even if Omnivore sends updates successfully, Amazon may reject or ignore them if its system determines that the existing listing data is more complete or accurate.
What To Do
-
Confirm You're Using the Correct ASIN
-
Go to the product on Amazon and check the ASIN in the product URL.
-
In Omnivore, ensure your product is linked to the correct ASIN.
-
If it isn't, correct it and allow Omnivore to resync the data.
-
-
Check Brand Ownership
-
If you are the brand owner, ensure you're enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry.
-
Brand Registry gives you greater control over product titles, descriptions, and images.

-
Contact Amazon Support
-
If you believe the listing data on Amazon is incorrect, contact Amazon Seller Support to request a product detail page correction.
-
Provide supporting evidence, such as links to the manufacturer's or brand's website showing the correct information.
-
-
Avoid Repeated Updates
-
Repeatedly pushing updates through Omnivore won't override Amazon's restrictions.
-
Wait until Amazon confirms a correction before resubmitting data changes.
