Trade Me Payment Options Using Omnivore

Learn how Ping, Afterpay and local pickup payments work when listing products on Trade Me through Omnivore

Supported Trade Me Payment Options

When you list products on Trade Me using Omnivore, Ping is required and included on all Trade Me Marketplace listings.

You can also offer Afterpay on eligible listings.

Ping

Ping is Trade Me’s required payment option. Buyers can pay using a debit card, credit card or their Ping balance.

Afterpay

Afterpay is optional. Before enabling it in Omnivore, you must have an active Afterpay account connected to your Trade Me seller account.

To add Afterpay to all or selected listings, see Add Afterpay to Trade Me Listings.

Local Pickup and Payment

Omnivore supports local pickup for eligible products, but payment at pickup is not supported.

The buyer must complete payment using Ping or Afterpay before collecting the order.

For setup instructions, see Trade Me – Local Pick Up.

Unsupported Payment Options

The following payment options are not available for Trade Me listings created through Omnivore:

  • Payment at pickup
  • Bank deposit or direct bank transfer

Trade Me does not permit bank deposit as a payment method on Marketplace listings. Local pickup can still be offered when the order is paid through Ping or Afterpay before collection.
