Overview


Make sure you can see the Google Product Feed tab in your Dashboard, if its not there click the "Find out more" link in the Add another Marketplace section of your Dashboard. 


Once you've added the Google product feed, start a full sync with your eCommerce store from the dashboard so that the products can be imported into Omnivore for Google.

  • Login to your Google Merchant Center account and in the ‘Products’ area there should be a section called 'Feeds' where you add the URL from Omnivore you copied in Step 1.  NOTE HERE:  If Google Asked For Filename it is the Google Product Feed URL that you put into that field.  The field name is mis-leading.
  • Click the blue '+ ' button to add your feed. Choose the 'Scheduled fetch' option.
  • Make sure you are setting your feed up in Google as a scheduled feed and that you set the time to pick up your feed from Omnivore to be at least once per day.

  • In Omnivore you need to choose the products you want to push through to Google by choosing a google category for them. From the dashboard make sure you’re on the Google tab, then click ‘Choose Category’. 
  • You can also exclude products from your Google Product Feed by Brand, Keyword, On Sale or Category. Go to 'Settings - Google - General' to set these up.
  • Once you've finished choosing Google categories for your products go to the Dashboard and click 'Upload to Google' to update your Google Product Feed.


You should now be able to manage your campaigns in Google and keep the products up to date in Google via your Omnivore Google product feed.


Knowns Issue for Bigcommerce Sellers

 

If you have completed the above step and something does not seem quite right there could be an issue with the Product URL from Bigcommerce.  We have to be able to have a product URL from your eCommerce Store.  In some cases we may need to create that URL Structure in Omnivore for you.  You can do this step too.

To create a custom product URL for Google.  You can do this on Settings - Google Feed - General.

As per below in the Customise Product Page URL field.


The most common URL format is  https://www.yoursitename.com.au/%HNAME%
