Shopify Billing for Omnivore Sellers

Understand Shopify billing, currency, and Omnivore fees.

Since Omnivore is an Australian-based platform, we typically bill in AUD.  However, when billing through Shopify we must bill in USD. 

 

Here's how it works: 

 

Our standard Shopify pricing plan is USD$74.95 OR 0.8% of your orders across all marketplaces you sell on. We calculate 0.8% for all orders across all marketplaces (excluding shipping charges) then convert the amount to USD. If the amount is less than $74.95, you will be charged USD$74.95. If the amount is greater than USD $74.95 you will be charged the 0.8%.

 

You will not be charged the 0.8% rate until your turnover, excluding shipping charges, is more than USD$74.95 per month.

For sellers operating in both Australia and any overseas marketplaces, any non-AUD order values are converted to AUD before combining with your AUD order value to determine your final billing amount.


Shopify Billing Considerations

Because Shopify's billing cutoff will almost certainly not align with Omnivore's billing cycle:

  • You may occasionally notice that no Omnivore charge appears on your Shopify bill for a particular month, followed by two Omnivore charges in a subsequent month, one for the previous billing period and one for the current period.

     

  • This can occur when our billing submission misses Shopify's billing cycle cutoff date and is automatically carried forward to the next billing cycle. When this happens, both charges will appear on the same Shopify invoice.
