Shipping options and setup for Woolworth Everyday

Overview (required reading)

  • In Omnivore the Shipping price is set to $0.00 for sellers and the shipping cost is be included into the product price.
  • All retailers selling on the Woolworth Everyday Marketplace (EM) must offer FREE Shipping.
  • Because all shipping costs are set directly within EM, Omnivore sends a price of $0.00 which our system sets to be called 'free shipping' at the product level. So 0.00 equates to free shipping by virtue there is no value set, even if that product itself on the marketplace is not going to get free shipping based on the EM rules. To understand the shipping costs Free or Not Free it is advised to check with the EM team directly.
  • If the order value is under $100 the buyer will pay for shipping. This does not change the cost of shipping in the order itself, it will still show as Free Shipping even though the buyer would have paid for shipping.
  • When Woolworths Everyday Marketplace run a promotion based on price, some products may display a Free Shipping badge, this is not driven by what Omnivore has set for shipping, it is setup by the marketplace team. Again if you see or don't see a free shipping badge on your EM listings it could be a promotion that EM is running so check with them to get clarification.

Setup Steps

  1. In Omnivore navigate to Settings - Woolworths Everyday Market - Shipping and click Add Shipping Policy.
  2. Name your policy accordingly (eg Free Shipping), tick the 'Is Default Shipping Policy' to set as default.
  3. Leave the cost set to $0.00.
  4. Click Create.
  5. We have to send a policy with 0.00 to Woolworths as part of the product validation from our system to the marketplace, but the actual shipping cost/price itself is set within EM.

Shipping and Product Price

  1. As mentioned, the shipping price is included in the product price, therefore Shipping appears as FREE.
  2. For the products that you sell on the Woolworths Everyday Marketplace you can apply a promotion in Omnivore to increase the price to cover shipping.
  3. To achieve this follow this comprehensive guide to create a product group and adjust the price accordingly.
  4. This only changes the price in Omnivore for Woolworths, not the price on your store.
  5. EM also run promotions that can display a free shipping badge.

  • Because all products must have shipping applied, the first level of testing is determined when the products are pushed up to the marketplace. If the shipping is not correct Omnivore will generate an error, we can tweak any settings as required.
