Sale price and RRP options for Marketplacer

Choose sale price or RRP for Marketplacer listings.

Omnivore has a setting to help you manage the Sale Price and RRP that we import from your eCommerce Store.

This provides options so you can decide if you want to display your sale price or RRP on the marketplace.

This is something you might want to do if you have sale prices in your incoming product feed but only want to upload RRP to the marketplace. Or, you want the sale price to show on the marketplace without strikethrough pricing, which means that the RRP needs to match the Sale price.

Setup & Options in Omnivore

  1. Go to Settings - Marketplace (eg Barbeques Galore) - General and scroll down to the Other Product Settings section.
  2. There is an option to select how we deal with Sale versus RRP pricing:ZQW-4Gt1LQJ4q5Ryei6T6zQwRQEAfisJRg
  3. Read the option explanations below and select the best option for you.
  4. Scroll down on that page and click Update.
  5. Click Import for you eCommerce Store on the Dashboard to trigger a full sync.
  6. This will push the change to the Marketplace.
  7. This setting does not in any way adjust the pricing on our eCommerce Store, it only affects the price we send to the Marketplace.

The four options are as follows:

NONE - Do not change pricing from the original pricing in the product feed. If the Sale price is different to the RRP, upload both to the marketplace and allow the Sale price to be shown, with a strikethrough showing the original RRP (so long as the marketplace supports this)

SALE OVERRIDES RRP - Set the RRP to be the sale price, which eliminates the strikethrough on the marketplace. Useful for a retailer who wants to show "everyday low prices" rather than showing that the price is actually discounted

RRP OVERRIDES SALE - Set the Sale price to be the same as the RRP, disregarding all promotional pricing, including promotions created in Omnivore. Useful for a retailer who wants to not push the Sale prices from their own website onto the marketplace. If you have a promotion set on a product, the price will not be adjusted if you have this option. You are best to use the NONE option if you are applying promotions.

RRP OVERRIDES SALE NOT PROMOS - Set the Sale price to be the same as the RRP, disregarding all promotional pricing, excluding promotions created in Omnivore. Useful for a retailer who wants to set promotional pricing completely separately to what they have on their own site; this method allows them to apply Omnivore promotions to the original RRP.
