JB Hi-Fi Brand Requirements

How brand approval works on JB Hi-Fi Marketplace and what to do when your website brand does not match.

Before products can be listed on JB Hi-Fi Marketplace, the brand must be approved by JB Hi-Fi.

 

JB Hi-Fi uses an approved list of brands, so sellers cannot create a new brand simply by sending a new value in their product data.

Brand approval on JB Hi-Fi

Brands must be approved by JB Hi-Fi before products using that brand are submitted.

 

If you need to sell products under a brand that is not currently approved, contact your JB Hi-Fi Marketplace Account Manager or Marketplace Support to arrange approval.

 

The brand used in your product data must correspond to the brand JB Hi-Fi has approved.

When your website brand is different

The brand shown on your website may be formatted differently from the brand approved by JB Hi-Fi.

For example:

Website brand: COASTALFORGE
JB Hi-Fi approved brand: Coastal Forge

If the brand supplied from your website does not match the brand JB Hi-Fi expects, the product may not be accepted.

Differences can include:

  • Capitalisation
  • Spaces
  • Punctuation
  • Spelling
  • Additional words in the brand name

For example, if JB Hi-Fi has approved the brand as Coastal Forge, the following would not be considered an exact match:

  • COASTAL FORGE
  • CoastalForge
  • Coastal Forge Hardware

 

What to do if a product is rejected as the Brand is not approved or does not match.

If JB Hi-Fi rejects a product because of its brand:

  1. Check the rejection or Changes Required information in the JB Hi-Fi Seller Centre.
  2. Confirm which brand JB Hi-Fi has approved for the product.
  3. If the required brand is not available, contact your JB Hi-Fi Marketplace Account Manager or Marketplace Support to confirm the brand or range approval.
  4. If your website product brand needs to be adjusted before Omnivore sends it to JB Hi-Fi, contact Omnivore Support and provide both the website brand and the JB Hi-Fi approved brand.

JB Hi-Fi controls brand and product approval. Omnivore Support can assist with the product data being supplied to the marketplace once the required JB Hi-Fi brand has been confirmed.
