Bunnings Brand Requirements and Brand Mapping
What to do when your website brand does not exactly match the brand approved by Bunnings.
Before products can be listed on Bunnings Marketplace, the brand used on the product must already be registered and approved by Bunnings.
Bunnings does not allow new brand names to be created automatically through a product upload. The brand sent with your product data must match a brand that has been approved for your Bunnings Marketplace account.
Registering a brand with Bunnings
Before uploading products for a new brand, provide Bunnings with:
- The brand name
- A high-resolution brand logo
Send these details directly to the Bunnings Marketplace team at MarketplaceSupport@bunnings.com.au or provide them to your assigned Bunnings Account Manager.
The brand must be approved by Bunnings before products using that brand are submitted.
If Omnivore sends a brand that has not been approved for your Bunnings Marketplace account, the product may fail validation or be rejected by Bunnings.
Brand name formatting requirements
The brand sent from Omnivore must match the brand name registered with Bunnings exactly.
This includes:
- Capitalisation
- Spaces
- Punctuation
- Spelling
- The complete brand name
For example, if Bunnings has approved the brand as Coastal Forge, the following would not be considered an exact match:
- COASTALFORGE
- CoastalForge
- Coastal Forge Hardware
The value should contain only the approved brand name. Do not add slogans, promotional wording or product descriptions to the brand field.
Your retailer or store name should also not be used as the product brand unless it is the approved brand for the products being sold.
When your website brand does not match Bunnings
The brand on your website may be formatted differently from the brand Bunnings has approved.
For example:
Website brand: COASTALFORGE
Bunnings approved brand: Coastal Forge
Because Bunnings requires an exact match, including capitalisation, spaces and punctuation, sending the website value unchanged may cause the product to be rejected.
Omnivore can manually map your website brand to the exact brand format required by Bunnings.
If you need a brand mapping added or changed, contact Omnivore Support and provide:
- The brand name currently shown on your website
- The exact brand name approved by Bunnings
Omnivore Support can then configure the required brand mapping for your Bunnings product feed.
