Overview

This FAQ explains how to import products from Shopify that are hidden from your online store.  

Why import products from Shopify?

You can import products from Shopify into Omnivore, even if they are hidden from your Shopify storefront.

This allows you to sell items on marketplaces without listing them on your own store, such as end-of-line stock, past-season products, or exclusive marketplace items.

How to set up

To import hidden products from Shopify into Omnivore, follow these steps: 

• Access Omnivore:
  • In your Shopify admin panel, navigate to the Apps section.
  • Select Omnivore to launch the application.
• Adjust Import Settings:
  • In Omnivore, go to Settings > Administration.
  • Locate the Shopify Product Import section.
  • Ensure the Product Visibility Rule checkbox is unchecked. This setting allows Omnivore to import products that are hidden on your Shopify storefront.
  • Scroll down and click Update to save your changes.

• Initiate Product Import:

  • Navigate to the Dashboard in Omnivore.
  • Click on Import from Shopify to begin syncing and importing your hidden products.

• Assign Categories:

  • After the import, assign appropriate categories to the newly imported products to ensure they are listed correctly on your chosen marketplaces.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage and sell products on marketplaces without displaying them on your Shopify storefront.
