eBay automatically limits the total amount of your product value that you can list when you start selling on eBay. Listing limits are a calculation of the total value of all your products. e.g. inventory x price for each product and added all together.

New sellers have a 10-item selling limit with a total value of $500 per month. This means that, during the month, you can sell no more than 10 items for a total of $500. This is the standard limit for all new eBay sellers.

Example: You have created 2 listings on eBay: one of them lists one item, and the second has nine items. Thus, you have reached your selling limit of 10 by the number of listed items even though you may only have 2 listings.

Just remember, the quantity of each item in each listing is counted towards your selling limit.

When you attempt to list products and you have reached your limit, you will get the eBay Validation error: It looks like you've reached the amount you can list. You can list up to <$xxxxx> in total sales this month. Request to list more: https://scgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?UpgradeLimits&appId=0&refId=19

This will prevent you from being able to list more products on eBay.

How to Resolve this error:

1. You can submit a request to eBay to increase your listing limits. Once eBay notifies you that your limits have been increased go to the Dashboard and click 'Upload to eBay' so that we can attempt to list the impacted products.

2. Our system automatically lists the inventory that you send us from your eCommerce platform. If you hold high inventory levels you can limit the amount of inventory we send to eBay.

Login to our system and go to 'Settings - eBay Australia - General'. Scroll down to 'Your Products' and you will see a setting 'Maximum stock quantity in eBay'.  You can set the number of your products to a lower number e.g. 5 so that you don't hit your listing limits on eBay.

Once you have set your quantity, click 'Update settings' then go to the Dashboard and click 'Upload to eBay'.

3. Only list your top sellers to start with.
